- 12 lasagna noodles (regular or no-boil)
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 4 cups marinara sauce
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned; drain excess fat.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan cheese, and chopped basil until well combined.
- Spread a thin layer of marinara sauce at the bottom of the baking dish. Layer noodles followed by half of the ricotta mixture and more marinara sauce. Repeat until all ingredients are layered, finishing with noodles topped with remaining marinara and mozzarella.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
