Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 12 oz large raw shrimp, deveined
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and reserve some pasta water.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink and opaque (3-5 minutes), flipping halfway.
  4. Squeeze lemon juice over shrimp and toss well.
  5. Add drained spaghetti to the skillet; if dry, add reserved pasta water as needed.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley until combined. Serve hot.
