  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed)
  • 1 medium onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)
  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp coriander
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground lamb, onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt, and pepper until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into small logs about three inches long.
  4. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface, cut into squares, place koftas in the center, fold over, and seal edges.
  5. Brush with beaten egg (optional) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Meanwhile, whisk yogurt and lemon juice together; season with salt.
  7. Serve warm with yogurt sauce drizzled on top.
