Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon (plus extra for coating)
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 4 tbsp unsalted melted butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In one bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon.
  3. In another bowl, mix milk, egg, and melted butter until smooth. Combine with dry ingredients until just mixed.
  4. Use a piping bag to fill each cavity of the donut pan halfway and twist as you pipe.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and springy to touch.
  6. Allow to cool slightly before tossing in melted butter followed by a generous coating of cinnamon sugar.
