  • 1 lb lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian)
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

Instructions

  1. Prepare ingredients by dicing the onion and mincing the garlic.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions in olive oil until translucent; add garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  3. In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, sautéed onion-garlic mixture, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, eggs, herbs, salt, and pepper until just combined.
  4. Shape mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. In the same skillet (adding more oil if necessary), sear meatballs over medium-high heat until browned on all sides (about 3-4 minutes per side).
  6. Transfer meatballs to a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for about 15-20 minutes or until cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
