  • 2 cups crushed unsalted pretzels
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 8 oz whipped topping (homemade or store-bought)
  • 6 oz strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press the mixture into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Bake for about 10 minutes until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
  3. In another bowl, beat softened cream cheese with 1/2 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping until fluffy.
  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve strawberry Jell-O in boiling water; let it cool slightly before stirring in chopped strawberries.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust, then pour the strawberry Jell-O mixture on top. Refrigerate for at least four hours or overnight.
  6. Serve chilled by cutting into squares or scooping out portions.
