Ingredients

  • Active Dry Yeast
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Salt
  • Whole Milk
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Eggs
  • Cream Cheese
  • Fresh Strawberries
  • Cinnamon Powder
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Vanilla Extract

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit until frothy (5-10 minutes).
  2. In another bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Gradually add to the yeast mixture along with softened butter and eggs.
  3. Knead on a floured surface until smooth (5-7 minutes). Allow dough to rise in a greased bowl covered with a towel until doubled (1-2 hours).
  4. For the filling, mix softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, cinnamon powder, and chopped strawberries.
  5. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle and spread the filling evenly. Roll tightly from one end to another.
  6. Cut into equal pieces (12-15) and place in a greased baking dish for a final rise (30 minutes).
  7. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle with icing made from powdered sugar mixed with milk before serving.
