  • 1 lb flank steak (sliced thinly)
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp fresh ginger (grated)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 4 green onions (sliced thinly)
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Slice flank steak against the grain into thin strips.
  2. In a bowl, mix soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Marinate beef for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Coat marinated beef with cornstarch until evenly covered.
  4. Heat sesame oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook beef in batches until browned but not fully cooked; set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add leftover marinade to simmer. Return beef to the pan and cook through.
  6. Serve hot garnished with sliced green onions.
