- 1 medium onion, finely grated
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tsp cumin powder
- 2 tsp coriander powder
- 2 tbsp pine nuts (optional)
- ¼ cup fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup fresh mint leaves
- ½ cup Greek yogurt
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tbsp honey (or sugar)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine lamb mince, grated onion, minced garlic, cumin powder, coriander powder, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well using your hands.
- If using pine nuts, toast them lightly and fold into the mixture.
- With wet hands, shape the mixture into small oval patties.
- Preheat your grill or stovetop grill pan over medium-high heat. Grill koftas for about 4-5 minutes on each side until charred and cooked through.
- For the mint sauce, blend fresh mint leaves with yogurt, lemon juice, honey (or sugar), salt, and pepper until smooth.
