  • 34 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 2 tbsp ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices sourdough bread
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh herbs (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Trim and pat dry the chicken breasts.
  2. Sprinkle ranch seasoning over both sides of each chicken breast.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sear the chicken for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  4. Place each chicken breast on a slice of sourdough bread, top with shredded cheese, and broil for 2-3 minutes until bubbly.
  5. Butter another slice of bread and place it on top of the cheesy chicken to create a sandwich.
  6. Slice in half and serve hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
