  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 large fresh lemons (zest and juice)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh basil or parsley (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Boil salted water in a large pot. Add fettuccine and cook until al dente (about 8-10 minutes). Reserve some pasta water, then drain.
  2. While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Gradually pour in heavy cream while stirring with the garlic. Zest and juice the lemons into the pan.
  4. Stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted and combined into a creamy sauce.
  5. Mix drained pasta into the sauce, adding reserved pasta water if needed to adjust consistency.
  6. Sprinkle fresh herbs over the top and toss before serving.
