Description

Indulge in the irresistible crunch of homemade chicken tenders! These perfectly breaded strips are golden brown on the outside and juicy on the inside, making them a hit at family movie nights or backyard barbecues. Serve them with your favorite dipping sauces for a meal that’s as fun to eat as it is delicious.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 34 breasts)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • Cooking oil for frying (if not baking)

Instructions

  1. Trim chicken breasts and cut them into strips about 1-inch wide.
  2. Set up a breading station with three bowls: mix flour, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in the first bowl; beat eggs in the second bowl; and place breadcrumbs in the third bowl.
  3. Coat each chicken strip in flour, dip in egg, then roll in breadcrumbs until fully coated.
  4. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) or heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat if frying.
  5. For baking: Place chicken strips on a greased baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. For frying: Cook each side for about 3-4 minutes until crispy.
  6. Serve hot with your choice of dipping sauces.
