  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup Italian-seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and prepare a baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Pound chicken breasts between plastic wrap to an even thickness of about an inch.
  3. Set up three shallow bowls: one with seasoned flour, another with beaten eggs, and the last with breadcrumbs mixed with Parmesan. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.
  4. In a skillet over medium heat, fry the breaded chicken in oil until golden brown on both sides (about 3 minutes per side).
