Description

Banana bread is a warm and inviting treat that transforms overripe bananas into a moist and flavorful loaf. With its golden-brown crust and soft interior, this easy-to-make recipe is perfect for breakfast or as a delightful snack with your favorite beverage. Customize it with nuts or chocolate chips for added texture and flavor, making it a beloved addition to any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas (medium)
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a loaf pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.
  3. Mix in melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Optionally, sprinkle nuts or chocolate chips on top.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
