  • Cinnamon sugar mixture (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cider Reduction: Simmer 2 cups of apple cider in a saucepan until reduced to 1 cup.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and brown sugar.
  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, mix reduced cider with melted butter and eggs until smooth.
  4. Combine Mixtures: Slowly fold the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients without overmixing.
  5. Fill Donut Pan: Grease the donut pan and fill each cavity two-thirds full with batter.
  6. Bake: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool & Dust: Let cool slightly before rolling in cinnamon sugar.
