Instructions
- Prepare the Custard: Heat whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming. In a bowl, whisk together sugar and egg yolks until smooth. Gradually combine with hot milk, then return to the saucepan on low heat. Stir continuously until thickened (5-7 minutes). Remove from heat, add vanilla and cornstarch mixed with cold milk. Chill in serving dishes for at least 2 hours.
- Make the Ganache: Finely chop bittersweet chocolate in a bowl. Heat heavy cream until steaming and pour over chocolate. Let sit for 5 minutes before stirring until smooth.
- Serve: Once the custard is set, pour or spoon ganache over each serving and garnish as desired.
