- 3–4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup raw honey
- 1 teaspoon pepper flakes
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 cups whole milk
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
- Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente; reserve some pasta water, then drain.
- Sauté diced chicken in melted butter, seasoned with salt and pepper until golden brown. Add minced garlic until fragrant.
- In another pot, create a cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk until thickened. Stir in cheddar, honey, and pepper flakes until smooth.
- Combine cooked macaroni, sautéed chicken, and cheese sauce in the baking dish. Mix well.
- Bake for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
