  • 2 cups elbow macaroni
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup raw honey
  • 1 teaspoon pepper flakes
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a large baking dish.
  2. Cook macaroni in salted water until al dente; reserve some pasta water, then drain.
  3. Sauté diced chicken in melted butter, seasoned with salt and pepper until golden brown. Add minced garlic until fragrant.
  4. In another pot, create a cheese sauce by melting butter, whisking in flour, then gradually adding milk until thickened. Stir in cheddar, honey, and pepper flakes until smooth.
  5. Combine cooked macaroni, sautéed chicken, and cheese sauce in the baking dish. Mix well.
  6. Bake for about 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown.
