Savor the delight of homemade soup dumplings, filled with rich broth and savory flavors. Perfect for gatherings or cozy nights in!

Ingredients

Scale
  • Dumpling wrappers (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 lb pork belly
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tbsp low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. Create Your Broth Gelatin: Simmer chicken bones in water for several hours until flavorful. Cool and refrigerate overnight to solidify into gelatin.
  2. Prepare Your Filling: Mix minced pork belly, green onions, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Make Wrapper Dough: Combine all-purpose flour with water gradually until smooth. Knead well and rest covered for 30 minutes.
  4. Roll Out Wrappers: Divide dough into balls; roll each thinly into circles about 3 inches in diameter.
  5. Add Filling: Place one tablespoon of filling in the center of each wrapper. Pinch edges together to seal tightly.
  6. Steam Dumplings: Arrange dumplings on parchment paper in a bamboo steamer. Steam over boiling water for 10-12 minutes until cooked through.
