Description

Ingredients

  • All-Purpose Flour
  • Granulated Sugar
  • Instant Yeast
  • Warm Milk
  • Eggs (room temperature)
  • Unsalted Butter
  • Powdered Sugar
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, instant yeast, warm milk, eggs, and melted butter. Stir until a soft dough forms.
  2. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  3. Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size (about 1 hour).
  4. Roll out the risen dough to half an inch thick and cut into squares.
  5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry each piece for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown.
  6. Remove from oil and toss in powdered sugar while still warm.
