- 2–3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
- Rinse soaked chickpeas under cold water until soft.
- In a food processor, combine chickpeas, parsley, cilantro, garlic, cumin, coriander, baking powder, salt, and pepper. Pulse until finely chopped but not pureed.
- Shape the mixture into small patties about one inch thick.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
- Fry patties for about three minutes per side until golden brown.
