  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 28 oz canned whole peeled tomatoes
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Boil pasta in a large pot of salted water until al dente (8-10 minutes). Drain and set aside.
  2. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  3. Add canned tomatoes (with juices) to the skillet, breaking them up gently as they simmer for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in heavy cream gradually until well combined; let simmer for another 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Toss drained pasta into the sauce until evenly coated.
  7. Serve immediately garnished with fresh basil and additional Parmesan if desired.
