Scale
  • 1 lb beef chuck roast, cubed
  • 1/2 cup pearl barley
  • 2 medium carrots, chopped
  • 2 stalks celery, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 cups low-sodium beef broth
  • 1 tsp fresh thyme
  • 2 bay leaves
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the ingredients by chopping vegetables into uniform pieces.
